our crazy afternoon

OK it all started this morning on the way home from taking MiJu to the airport. First, there was tons of traffic, which is normally not a problem but when you have a very tired baby who wants to fall asleep but cant find her thumb it makes things a bit more stressful. I nearly rear ended the guy in front of me so to avoid a collision i pulled over into the HOV lane(carpool lane two or more people only) but was quickly pulled over by a delightful( sense the sarcasm) state trooper who had to sit in his car and run my tag for 20 minutes before he got out and realized that i do in fact have two people in my car...A** h***and that i could continue on. All the while i am praying Hardin can hold off on falling to sleep until i can get her home and in her crib. We finally made it home and as we pull in the driveway i look back at her and her eyes shut. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if the lawn people hadn't pulled up to our neighbors house with their weed whackers and started making lots of loud obnoxious noise which of course woke Hardin up. AGH!!! Now i am thinking maybe i can just quickly take her in and put her in her bed and she will just fall asleep and take her morning nap like usual. What was i thinking she slept for about 25 minutes and woke up with messy pants. I mean seriously. This rarely happens but of course she wakes her self up with freaking messy pants. so....i finally get her down for a nap at 12:00 and she slept until 2:00 which was great but she woke up cranky again. sometimes i feel like she just gets tired of being in the house so i decided to take a grumpy Hardin to Target. Once again WHAT WaS I THINKING? i only had a few things to get so we were only there for about 15 minutes but during those 15 minutes there was alot of eye rubbing and whining:( IS SHE TIRED AGAIN?!?! i mean she just woke up from a two hour nap. So one of the items i needed to get was milk. Well, i get up to the counter and it had a stinkin hole in the bottom. I was so frustrated by this point that i simply told the guy who asked "would you like to go get another one" sir..does it look like i want to get another one my child is screaming and i am certainly not going to wheel her all the way back to the dairy section" ( I did not say that i just had it written ALL OVER MY FACE and for those of you who know me best you know what that looks like' so i actually said "no that's ok" he said "are you sure" I said YES! this always happens to me and I don't have time to deal with it when i get home. As i am saying this i am swiping my card and getting my stuff ready to go. when he hands me my receipt he takes my bags (milk included) and puts them in my basket. I rolled the cart about two feet and realized. did he seriously just put that stupid milk in my buggy. YES HE SURE DID AND I PAID FOR IT. who makes someone pay for a milk carton with a hole in it. apparently this target man does. AGH!! so we get home Hardin wont nap and i decided i am going to change the light bulbs in our bedroom which have been out for like 3 weeks. SO. i pt Hardin in her boppy seat, the one she has loved since she was 1 day old and started screwing the bulb in, so i thought. After screwing for about 40 seconds i take the bulb out and realize i got the wrong bulbs at Target just 10 minutes ago. AGH so i run in the kitchen to get the receipt out of the garbage and am stopped in my tracks by a ROACH. SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK. the thought of killing a roach makes my skin crawl. but i knew i had to get it b/c charlie wasn't here to take care of it and if i didn't kill who would? so i kill it and as i am walking it back to the toilet i am stopped in my tracks once again when i look up and see Hardin sitting, not laying in her boppy seat. DID SHE SIT UP? yes she did so i ran to get the trusty little camera and nearly have a heart attack when i get to her and she is leaned all the way over the front of the pink seat looking over the side of the bed. I ran and got her and decided we needed to sit and relax for a minute because there is no telling what else is going to happen to us today.
